Our
Services
Our office provides a full range of dental treatments, including
preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry.
Preventative dentistry is our goal for every patient.
It involves the daily care, good nutrition, and periodic checkups
and cleanings that maintain good dental health.
Preventive dentistry may not be where we start with every patient,
but it’s where we like to finish.
Restorative dentistry is the basic repair of the
mouth. We treat decay, mend broken or leaking fillings, build crowns
and bridges, fit partial and full dentures, realign your bite. Where
necessary, gum disease is treated, or root canal therapy recommended.
The prevailing belief behind restorative dentistry is a simple one:
you can keep all your teeth for the rest of your life.
Cosmetic dentistry is coming of age with new materials
and procedures that make a beautiful smile accessible to everyone.
Because our preventive and restorative programs have been so successful,
we now have the luxury of considering cosmetic treatment for gaps,
chips, and otherwise less-than-perfect smiles.
Young visitors are important to our practice. We
welcome first appointments as early as age two. Because early dental
visits help determine life-long health attitudes, we go slowly and
take all the time your child needs to feel comfortable, to encourage
curiosity, to make a friend. With good health habits instilled young,
your child’s dental future can be bright, indeed.
Digital radiography (x-rays) benefits both the patient and the environment. One major benefit of digital radiography is that it uses 90% less radiation than conventional x-rays. The “film” used is actually a sensor that sends the x-ray image directly to a computer where the image is instantaneously displayed on a screen. Patients can view images on a large computer screen instead of the small, dark conventional x-ray film, which allows patients easier identification and education regarding any dental concerns. For a better diagnosis, these digital images can be magnified 300 times, made lighter or darker, can highlight specific areas and the contrast within the images can be clarified for sharpness. These images can be E-mailed to specialists for instant consultations or printed for patients to take home. There are no harmful processing chemicals to handle or dispose of, and there is no film to mount. Digital images will be stored in the computer, making paper charts obsolete.
What Can You Do To Whiten Your Smile?
Interested in learning about how you can brighten your smile? Whitening or bleaching are options that can help! Parkview Dental offers several different ways to do this:
IN-OFFICE XTRA BOOST - Opalescense Xtra Boost is two consecutive 90 minute in-office procedure appointments, one week apart. Teeth will be significantly whiter for anyone seeking more immediate results. Also includes at home bleaching for additional whitening.
CUSTOM TRAY WHITENING - Impressions of your teeth will be taken that will allow for custom trays to be made for your whitening procedure. Your custom trays should be worn once a day for 60 minutes.
PROFESSIONAL STRENGTH: CREST WHITESTRIPS SUPREME - The Crest Whitestrips sold in our office are only dispensed professionally and are 4 times stronger than the Crest Whitestrips available at any retail store. Whitestrips are to be used 2 times a day for 30 minutes.
PORCELAIN VENEERS OR CROWNS - Thin porcelain laminate or cover that changes the shape and color of existing teeth.
Please stop bleaching two weeks prior to any dental treatment on the six upper or lower front teeth.
Please feel free to talk with a member of our staff, if you have any questions regarding any of these options.
